
We are celebrating the Norfolk Food Festival in style – and we’d like you to join us!
Once again throughout September The Last will be hosting its ever popular Wine Merchants Dinners on each Tuesday of the month as part of The Norfolk Food festival. For the uninitiated the format is as follows:
7.00pm – Canapés and Fizzy
7.30pm – A specially designed regional five course dinner accompanied by matching wines
with each course.
The following Wine Merchants are showing their wines on these dates:
Tuesday 6th September – James Long of Corney and Barrow Wines, Newmarket, showing Classic French regions (selected from Alsace, Loire, Burgundy, Bordeaux, Rhone)
Tuesday 13th September – Derek Robertson of Premium Wine Collections, Norwich, showing the wines of Italy. A broad brush stroke indeed!
Tuesday 20th September – Phil Weeks of John Armit Wines, London, introduces Spain and Portugal, offering new and exciting, as well as classic wines.
Tuesday 27th September – Jérome Lambert of Bijou Bottles, Wroxham, will be displaying the delights of Rhone and Southern France (featuring such regions as Languedoc, Rousillon, Minervois, Corbieres)Places are limited to 26 people and have the habit of selling out rapidly – so be quick, be decisive, and book your places by calling 01603 626626, or emailing us at winedinners@lastwinebar.co.uk. Tickets are £70 per person for canapés and fizz, followed by a 5 course dinner, an abundance of wine, and the wit, wisdom, and entertainment of our favourite Wine Merchants.
